Carl Cox es un importante Disc_jockey especializado en pinchar (tocar) música de los géneros de música electrónica House (música)Techno y Trance. Nació en 1962 en Oldham, Gran_Manchester (Gran Bretaña).

Fue nombrado el mejor DJ del mundo del año de 1997 por la revista DJmag y considerado el undécimo mejor Dj del mundo ya en el 2006 por la misma influyente revista. Actualmente en el 2007 es uno de los DJ más cotizados mundialmente y considerado por la revista electrónica TheDjlist el número 6 mejor Dj del mundo.

Comenzó a mediados de los 80 pinchando Hardcore y Acid_house con el nombre "Three Deck Wizard", El Mago de las tres Mesa_de_mezclas, ya que así tocaba durante el importante verano británico del 88-89 (llamado Second Summer of Love, famoso por el auge del Acid_house y el éxtasis.

Actualmente lidera las Discográfica "Intec Records" y "23rd Century Records"
